Program
Revolution
This powerful program highlights the long history of protest and struggle through song, with themes ranging from the Suffragists and climate change to rest and democracy.
The evening features the world premiere of River on Fire by composer Corey Rubin, with text by CWRU professor and former Ohio Poet Laureate Dave Lucas. Inspired by the infamous 1969 Cuyahoga River fire, the work explores themes of industrialization, environmental crisis, and spirituality.
Adding to the program’s depth, the Case Concert Choir will be joined by the Cleveland Heights High School A Cappella Choir under the direction of Jesse Lange.
