Research Interests
My primary areas of clinical expertise include Gastrointestinal, Liver, Pancreas and Transplant Pathology. My research focuses on investigating histologic and molecular aspects of Barrett's esophagus and Barrett's-related neoplasia, idiopathic inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) and gastrointestinal tract cancers. I am specifically interested in:
- Studying the underlying genetic mechanisms that correlate with morphologic features,
- Studying techniques that will improve detection of dysplasia in high-risk cohorts, and
- Identifying potential biomarkers that will predict neoplastic progression.
