Biology's Mike Benard discusses road salt and Ohio's environment

cleveland.com: Mike Benard, professor and chair of the biology department at the College of Arts and Sciences, warned that even relatively low levels of road salt can have delayed but deadly impacts on wildlife. He cited research showing wood frog tadpoles exposed to salt appeared healthy at first, but later died at much higher rates after becoming froglets.
