"Laboratories for Democracy? Recent Challenges and Transformations in Election Law"

Events | October 05, 2023 | Story by: Editorial Staff

Recent local and national legislative enactments and court decisions have impacted the way election law works. While there have been some advances regarding voting rights, disputes around election integrity, voter suppression and redistricting continue to dominate the field.

At this lecture—hosted by ÃÛÌÒAPP School of Law from noon to 1 p.m. Oct. 14 at George Gund Hall—we will review recent major judicial decisions and legislative enactments around the law of democracy and legal issues that will likely impact the 2024 election season. Atiba R. Ellis, the Laura B. Chisolm Distinguished Research Scholar and Professor of Law, will present.
