cleveland.com: Dan Flannery, the Semi J. and Ruth Begun Professor and director of the school’s Begun Center for Violence Prevention Research and Education, discussed the correlation between crime and the weather. “People are going outside more when the weather’s better. So, you have these motivated offenders that have more opportunity to engage with potential targets or victims…those are just crimes of opportunity," said Flannery.
