In this Childhood Matters talk, Dr. Lisa Koops will share the process of initiating and navigating a community partnership that integrates her research and community outreach, focusing on empowering families to incorporate music into their everyday lives. Summarizing a series of research studies and community engagement with children's library programs, including Family Space library programs, Koops shares a new collaboration with a children's library associate at a local library in detail. Centering mutuality and reciprocity, Koops shares findings from several studies and invites discussion for about how to move from a single partnership to a scaled curricular program.

Lisa Huisman Koops is Professor of Music Education at ÃÛÌÒAPP. She also teaches early childhood music classes and is the host of hosts the podcast Parenting Musically.
